The Two Yutes

From "My Cousin Vinny" to My Cousin Joshua ...

Hello everyone. It's me - Kenzo. I wanted to update my blog to feature my cousin Joshua. His Mommy and my Mommy are sisters. My Mommy lives here with me in Japan. His Mommy lives in Malaysia. That's why we all went there to visit for Christmas 2006 & 2007.

Joshua is now over 2-and-a half years old. He can speak and understand both English & Japanese. I am still only 1-and-a-half. I can understand a litle bit of both languages - but I can't say as many words yet.

We both loves cars and trains - especially Thomas the Train. I still call them "Tu-ku. Tu-ku" for the sound they make. Joshua calls them "Densha" which is Japanese for train.

My Daddy likes to read stories to me - and Joshua likes it too. Here Daddy was reading "The Very Hungy Caterpiller". I like books with pictures of cars. Joshua likes books about Dinosaurs.

Joshua was born about 1 year before me. He is a great role model to learn from. He is very caring and gentle and willng to share his toys with me. I wear a lot of his clothes that are too small for him now. Thank you Joshua for all the clothes and shoes.

We both love to splash in the water. Here we are taking a bath in Malaysia. Our Mommies take such good care of us. Aunt Yuko is always so wonderful to me.

Summer 2007:

Cousin Joshua also came to visit me this past Summer. In September, we all went to visit Homongi Temple. See a full recap on my Daddy's Blog.

These photos are when I was only a little over 1 year old and Joshua was a little over 2 years old. Again ... here we are us splashing around with water.

Flashlights are fascinating toys. They remind of of Daddy's Light Saber. I guess I have to wait a few more years before I can watch Star Wars.

Joshua transforms me into a Takoyaki - a fried octopus ball with green garnish on top. Itadakimasu!

I hope to see you again soon, Joshua.

Love,
