Omiya Mairi

Hey Everybody - I'm KENZO!
Sorry it has been so long since my last blog update. Been too busy eating and sleeping. I guess that means I am gonna get along really well with Mucha and May-Nya!
Well, I am doing great. I am happy and healthy. I turned 1-month old last week on August 16. I had my 1-month check up and everything is A-OK! I am getting bigger and stronger everyday. Mommy and Daddy are taking good care of me.

Last weekend, we all went for the traditional 1st Japanese Shinto Shrine visit - "Omiya Mairi". This Shrine is right down the street from us. It is the same Shrine were my Mommy's parents took her for her "Omiya Mairi" blessing. Ji-Ji (Grand Pa) and Ba-Ba (Grand Ma) and Uncle Shintaro all came out to celebrate with me. It was also Shintaro's 26th Birthday.

The was my once-in-a-lifetme chance to wear the special ceremonial attire. It was a beautiful baptism.

It was great to see Aunt Yuko, Uncle Guy and my cousin Joshua when they came to visit from Malaysia. Joshua really seems to like me. He kept petting my head gently. I miss you all already. I hope to maybe see you at Christmas time in K.L.

-------------------------------------

I have been venturing out in my cool stroller (buggy) in my local neighborhood, Ebaramachi. Mommy always takes me to Ozeki Grocery Store. Too many Oba-chans.

I also was brave enough to go all the way into Roppongi to see Daddy and Mommy's friends, Daniel, Becky and their beautiful children Justin (10), Kelsey (8) and Jordan (4). It was also good for Mommy to get out of the house a little bit.
Daddy works late at his job - but he comes home to see me on his lunch breaks. He just holds me in his arms and rocks me in Mommy's rocking chair (a Mother's day gift from USA Ba-Ba). Problem is - he spends all of his time rocking me - he forgets to eat lunch.

I can't wait to come to the USA to visit. I will be headed to Creekside Bed & Breakfast in Upstate, NY during the 1st week of October. I have lots of cute outfits to show off - thanks to many of you.
Speaking of gifts, I have to thank some of you out there ...

Chausey - Thank you to you and Malcom and the kids. I can't believe you mailed that WHOLE box of clothes to me. I love everything. Especially this one!

Payal - Thank you so much. Daddy loves the football theme 1-piece. The Giraffe towl is sooooo soft. I love you too. Can't wait to see you - in the US in October and/or in Tokyo in January.

Wendy & Ken in Seattle - Thank you so much. How thoughtful and personable. I love everything. The bath towl comes in very handy, according to Mommy. The giraffe toy is sooooo "Cawaii" (cute).

Uncle Zack - Kuma-kun the Build-Your-Own-Teddy-Bear is wonderful. He is so cuddly and he plays the same song as my crib mobile. Thank you so much.

Well guys and girls, thanks for reading my blog. I am sorry it took so long for an update. I hope reading my blog made you smile. See you soon!
Love, KENZO
