The DaKENZO Code

Hiroko and Paul are proud to now unveil KENZO's name in "Kanji" ...

The character for "Ken" represents the same 1st character of Kencho-Ji Temple in Kamakura - site of my marriage proposal to Hiroko on June 2, 1998.

The character for "Zo" represents the iconic Japanese architecture of the Kura - or treasure house - a symbol of classic Japan and a tribute to his heritage.

Today, KENZO turned 2 weeks old. He is happy, healthy, well-fed and sleeping. KENZO loves his crib and adorable clothes - gifts from all over the world. Thanks to Yuko, Guy & Joshua, BB in France, Chausey & Malcom and Milanne & Corbin, Patrick & Kimmy. Kuma-kun, The Build-Your-Own-Bear, Teddy Bear gift from Uncle Zack stands guard over our little sleeping baby.

The summer is back in Tokyo. The Cicadas are buzzing in their "heavy on the electrons" Insecticon dialect. That also means the Japanese summer festivals are returning - with celebrations, food, summer kimono's, and fireworks. Surely, KENZO must think all of this activity is to celebrate his world premiere! Desu-ne?
